Distinctions between the various graduate programs offered by California College of the Arts (CCA) can be bewildering to prospective students. We needed a document that was easy to understand, but entertaining enough not to be immediately tossed out. Although the market is competitive, most publications rely on standard images of students creating, laughing, and engaging. Being a natural skeptic of those contemporary clichés, I opted for my own eccentric set of clichés — an odd pastiche of hard- and soft-sell design.
