My three weeks in Norway was the first artist residency I had ever participated in. I was uneasy at first, being away from the objects and equipment I had relied on. The opportunities, though, built my confidence and introduced me to a wealth of natural materials I would not have normally employed in my photography. And, even in this remote town, I found several excellent thrift stores to build a new collection of objects to use in my work. During the residency I made lots of images and drawings which I used as the materials for a final series of works created in 2025.
