STEVE KAHN: THE HOLLYWOOD SUITES

Poignant, sad, confrontational, raw; Steve Kahn’s conceptual photography series “The Hollywood Suites” was controversial when first created in the mid-1970s, and has become even more complicated within contemporary contexts. Using delicate linework, I balanced the intensity of the images with subtle allusions to windows, doors, corners, ceilings — all spaces occupied with bodies and their ghosts.
