This series is a collaboration with Scott Klinker, the 3D Design artist-in-residence at Cranbrook Academy of Art. I had known Scott for some time, and I noticed how Scott’s work was embracing not just objects, but strategies of presenting those objects photographically. I worked with Scott over a four day period in his studio, bringing with me a handful of my own prints. Without pre-planning, we constructed these tableaux in front of the camera simply to see what would happen. We were both excited and surprised with the results and hope this collaboration will continue.
